Goals for the 2023
Meeting Summary:Enthusiastic fellows at the Pune Chapter organized first ever physical meeting at a wonderful location. Special mention to Kaustubh Pathak & Kuldeep Sonar for taking this initiative and everybody at the chapter for bringing in the energy.
Considering the broad agenda, many good ideas were brain stormed during the meeting and relevant real life incidents were also shared by the members present. Summary of the meeting is grouped in the following points for brevity.
Objective of the Central body:-
Need for a central body was evident, which can a place where a trainer can go to seek guidance.
Key Results expected:-
Few activities of the central body were discussed; Standardization of TOC, Training Rating, Minimum Pricing, Business referral network, Trainer SOS (safety and emergency helpline), defining guidelines and code of ethics of all stake holders - trainer, vendor and client.
Actionable:-
Pune chapter to pool in more trainers, especially women - Kuldeep & Sulakshana.
A draft charter of activities to be created by taking inputs via a survey on 'Expectations from the Common Body' - Vishal.
Bengaluru to initiate a physical meeting in February 2023 - Amarjit.
Other important points:-
Reference of other professional bodies like BNI, Enhanskool, IEEE, Toastmasters can be taken as a guiding light while creating the 'Body of Freelance Trainers' (for now BFT till better name come up ).
Resources to start and run this body is key, and few founding members have already invested and committed to invest time and money. New members will have to take up new roles and volunteer time.
Like other professional body BFT will also need funds to run the show, and like other professional body members will have to contribute funds in form of Chapter fees / registration fees etc..
